Summer Update 2010
Jasmine Khalia will attend 5th grade at St. Mary’s this next school year, and is also adjusting very well. She likes to make jokes, but when around those she is not completely comfortable with, she is still very shy. She is a very good girl, but definitely a little prankster.
Being the youngest of the three from Ethiopia, she has picked up English the quickest and is very witty. Her favorite sport is soccer, and she loves every chance she gets for practice. She is also a technology nut and loves cell phones and anything electronic.
Trip to Silverwood Theme Park
Yesterday, Kelsey, Keisha, Kianna, and Jasmine went to Silverwood Theme Park for a day of fun. Keisha, Kianna, and Jasmine won free tickets through a reading competition. Here are some pictures from their fun day.

Ethiopian Adoption
I am the mother of 3 beautiful sibling sisters from Ethiopia and wanted to share some information and facts about Ethiopian adoption with you. Please read the article below and share your experience with Ethiopian adoptions.
Thanks

Ethiopia Adoption: The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia is a developing country in East Africa comprised of 9 states and 2 city administrations.
In the US, a growing number of children are available for Ethiopian Adoption. For the calendar year 2005, 440 children were adopted. There are a limited number of adoption agencies licensed to facilitate adoptions in Ethiopia.
There are very few restrictions on prospective adoptive parents looking into Ethiopia Adoption placed by the government. Prospective parents must be 25 to 55 years old and married couples and singles are eligible to adopt. There are some restrictions relating to the age of the prospective parent and what age child they are allowed to adopt.
There are a wide range of children available of all ages in Ethiopia Adoption. Siblings and special needs children are also available and there is a need for adoptive parents for both boys and girls.
Ethiopia, like many countries, allows children to be escorted by agency representatives to meet their new parents. Travel is not a requirement.
Ongoing political unrest in Ethiopia has resulted in the U. S. State Department issuing travel precautions for areas of Ethiopia which makes the escort option appealing to many looking in to Ethiopia Adoption.
