Less than 48 hours and the first of the runners will make their way along the course.  Starting downtown, racing through the historic West Central Neighborhood, and of course, Doomsday Hill.  Let’s have a look at this great race that brings so many diverse people to our city.

Race: 34th Annual Lilac Bloomsday Run

Length: 12 Km (7.46 mi.)

Course: Road course through Spokane, WA

Date: Sunday, May 2nd, 2010

Runners: Approximately 50,000.

Elite Division Racers: 32 Male, 19 Female

Wheelchair Elites: 37 Male, 11 Female

The Annual Lilac Bloomsday Run is held on the first Sunday in May in Spokane.  In addition to the elite division, there are other divisions of runners, joggers, walkers, and strollers.  The weather for this year’s race forecasts rain in the afternoon but the bulk of the racers should stay dry.  Get out there and cheer them on!
